2020 Candidacy Retreat

You are invited to the 2020 Northern Illinois Synod Candidacy Retreat led by the NIS Candidacy Sub-Committee and Bishop Jeffrey Clements via Zoom on Saturday, November 7 from 9 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.

The Annual Northern Illinois Synod Candidacy Retreat is open to anyone who is discerning a call to rostered ministry as well as to those who have been Entranced into Candidacy.  Those who have completed the process or who are close to the end of the process have said that this time together has been very helpful in their Candidacy journey.

Because of the need to meet via the Zoom platform, we have put together a little different schedule than we have had for the past several years. What we have done this year is to offer the core retreat from 9 – 11:45 a.m., with an optional time from 12:15 to 1:00 p.m. for breakout groups by stage in the Candidacy Process. This optional time is just that; however, we have found that our candidates, potential candidates, and partners/spouses have found it useful to talk to others at the same “place” as they are in terms of Candidacy Journey. There is no cost, but we ask that you register in the Registration Form below.
